Dancing

Dancing is something that I've been doing for so long... The first time I started to dance was when I was in 1st grade of elementary school. At that time, my mother took me to some kind of traditional dance course. I learned 2 dances, then, I stopped.
Then when I moved to Rangoon, Burma, we started to dance at least 1 dance the first year I was there... But later on when there was a dancing teacher moved to Rangoon, I have to dance so many dances that I can't even remember how to dance anymore.
At that time, I also learned to dance 2 Burmese dance. It was kind of difficult and absolutely tiring, cause you have to... like squatting and standing. Almost like squat jump, but in a slow way...
Since then, I love it when I have to dance.
One thing that I regretted that I never learn when I was small was Ballet. It was so beautiful, and I really wanted to be able to do that. It's just that we have to learn since we're a kid, if we want to learn ballet.
Now, in Dundee, I learn how to do Scottish country dance. It was fun and energetic... and I love it...
It's too bad that I can only do it while I am still in Dundee. When I'm home, I can no longer do it, cause, of course, there's no one there who can do it... And it's not a 1 person dance... :(

Morning

The dawn is coming
Taking the grace of day in
The sun is gleaming
Through the dew of green

The birds are chanting
Welcoming the joy of day
The chickens are chuckling
Happy with the new wind of the day

The moon is hiding
Feeling shy and retreating to its bed
The nocturnes are slumbering
Waiting for another night to thread

The morning glory is smiling
The honeysuckle is swinging
The lovely jasmine is blooming
What a glorious time as a new beginning

Shadow

Those smiling faces, how wonderfully seen
Like the sun in a brightful day
Like the flower touched by the glorious rain
Nevertheless, you'll never know

People love not the unseen
the beauty lies inside,
nor the crack grows within,
only the lies glow the face

But, who will realise
The love grows in the dark
The pain cries in silence
The child stays under the shade

Pain always come and go
people smile freely, but one
who silently walk alone and
stand in the darkside of the sunshine.

Tragedy

Somewhere over the sands of time
Behind thousands of blue ridge peak
Voices shaping sounds of rhyme
Affecting people making them happy and weak

Forwarding the time closer
Blue skies greying over
In fear the flocks of birds are fleeing
In ecstasy the crows are laughing

The deafening sounds violate my ear
The blinding light fire up my fear
The fright of loss build up my tear
The lying bodies cause their cheer

Rumbling noises are fading away
Silent surroundings bring up the shiver
Darkness starts to blanket the day
Leaving shadows difficult to bear

Love

Ray of the morning sun touching my skin
Dew carressing the silkness of the leaves
Sound of the river flowing to the sea
Violet sky marking the end of the day
Beauty of the sound of humming nightingale
Twinkling stars watching through the night sky
Smiling moonlight surrounding by the dancing stars
Gleaming among the darkness of the sky

Life

Life is like a river. It's easy at the beginning, rough in the middle and it ends easily.

It has branches and the water (person) should choose its way to the ocean (happy ending, freedom).

It could find a dead end and should find is own way to get to its end.

What is love?

Love can be so confusing. It can make us happy, but it can make us sad.
But nobody can avoid love which has grown inside his/her heart.
It just comes without us asking it to come.
Love can be very painful, but it can make us live in happiness.
People need love.
Somehow, love can also disturb our life, disturb our thought, disturb our sleep, disturb our appetite.
But, thank God, it only disturbs my thought. When I don't have anyone to love, I feel empty inside and want to feel it again. But, when I feel it, it bursts in my heart that I want to calm it down and not to love again.
Very confusing, isn't it.
But, unfortunately, we cannot control it easily. It just flows like water in a river. It's always there.
Like one said that love is all around you and love makes the world go round.
So, no matter what I do, I can never avoid it. It's there around me.

This is one of the thing I love about being in subtropical country... the snow and the beautiful scenery...
They really preserve its nature... so, instead of cars and factories and buildings, they have so many trees and parks...

Dundee, one of big cities in Scotland, hold its beauty as well. You can see so many old buildings renovated and used as offices or shops or even flats... But there's still history in it...

In this picture, you can see both nature and old buildings. This view was taken in front of my flat... I love this picture... I didn't know it would look like this when I took it.
Another thing that makes me love Dundee at the first sight is this view... This small park is near to where I live and in front of the university, so, every time I go out from the university I would take a look at this view... The park, with the river underneath and bunch of buildings on another side of the river...

Well, both pictures were taken in different time of course, even different season. The one on top was taken in winter and this one on the right side was taken in the end of summer.
One thing that make me surprise is the autumn really went so fast... In the end of September it is still summer but at the beginning of November it's already winter...
So, the autumn is only one month... Long summer and I don't know about the winter... since it's still in the middle of winter, now when I'm writing this post...:p

If you're thinking about living in Scotland, think about Dundee... why Dundee? Well, because you can see a lot of sun in Dundee. Eventhough at first you thought it would be cloudy and dull since it's raining... don't be mistaken, sometimes in the end of the day, you would still see the sun. But don't think that it would be the same in the other cities... cause Dundee is the sunniest city in Scotland.
I'm really grateful that I can live in this city, even for a year. I already love this city, despite its cold weather.
